Hi there! I’m Nicole Sardella and I’m an audio describer.

I have been describing for ten years, primarily in Philadelphia region. When I audio describe, I use words to describe the visual elements of the medium I’m describing. Think of me as a sportscaster but for the arts — an artscaster.

Sometimes, I provide live audio description during live arts events, such as plays, musicals, dance performances, film screenings, concerts, I narrate the actions and movement, as well as describing the sets, costumes, lighting, props. Other times, I do live description of visual art, such as museum galleries, art exhibits, flower shows, where I use words to describe the visual elements of the piece.

In response to the pandemic, I began recording audio description for full-length films, documentaries, shorts, musicals, ballets, garden tours, and operas.

I also provide training in audio description, both in-person and virtually.
